Romantic horse-drawn sleigh rides
Riding in a horse-drawn sleigh through the deep snowy winter landscape of the Lungau, snugly wrapped in a blanket, sounds romantic, doesn't it?
Sledding & tobogganing
Almost every place in the Lungau in Salzburg has its own toboggan run. Whether for the children during the day or for you at the end of an eventful day on the slopes, fun and variety are guaranteed! In Mauterndorf itself, the illuminated toboggan run, about 500 m long, lies directly along the winter walking path to the ski center at the foot of Mauterndorf Castle.

The castle is also open to visitors in winter. The medieval castle, located on a rock, is only a few minutes' walk from our house. Mauterndorf Castle offers visitors an exciting journey back in time to the late Middle Ages. From the 44 m high defensive tower, you have a fascinating view of Mauterndorf, the Radstädter Tauern to the north, the Hohe Tauern to the west and the Nockberge to the south.
